Iberdrola and Scottish Power Renewables showcased in the event the main aspects and improves reached among last year of the project

ROMEO project participated last 27th and 28th in a new edition of Offshore Wind Europe, the congress and exhibition about renewable energy power. The event, held in London and organized by New Energy Update, gave us the opportunity to show the most relevant aspects of ROMEO and the latest advances carried out within the framework of the project.

Robert Jones, Lead Asset Performance Analysis Engineer at Scottish Power Renewables and Cesar Yanes, from Technology Department of Iberdrola, coordinator of ROMEO Project, had the chance to explain how ROMEO Project is transforming O&M procedures in wind energy sector.

The experts showcased general information about ROMEO and main objectives of the project to hundreds of leading and emerging players in the wind energy sector from all over the world. In addition to O&M platform, our partners talked about FMECA (Failure Mode Effect Criticality Analysis) and the decision three developed through workshop sessions.

The intervention was also a good opportunity to explain the monitoring technologies and specification of the support structure monitoring problem for offshore wind farms.  .

Finally, Jones and Yanes introduced the next steps of the project, among which are the development of physical and data driven models and the updating of FEM and benchmarking of low cost monitoring techniques.

Creating synergies

Likewise, we had the chance to know other innovative projects and share our visions about wind energy sector, meanwhile we learn of the experience of other important agents. In this context, in the event also participated our partners Ramboll and a huge representation of Siemens Gamesa.
