Iberdrola will present ROMEO project in this event, that will take place in Bilbao from 2-4 April.

Iberdrola, coordinator of ROMEO project, will participate this year in the annual on-and offshore WindEurope Conference & Exhibition, that will take place in Bilbao from 2-4 April. In addition to being one of the events ambassador, our partner will participate in the congress presenting ROMEO project with a poster and a conference session.

Other partners of the ROMEO project will also have a relevant role in the event: Siemens Gamesa is one of the conference ambassadors, and Laulagun Bearings will also be part of the policy conference. Many of the members of the consortium will also be present at the different activities that will take place during the three days of the Conference and Exhibition.

This conference will be a good opportunity to present ROMEO to main agents of the sector. In this context, WindEurope Conference & Exhibition is the most important event in Europe for the wind industry and is one of the reference events of Wind Europe association, with an average of 8,000 professionals attending from all over the world and over 400 exhibitors from 50 countries.

César Yanes, head of Innovation of Iberdrola and ROMEO project coordinator, will be one of the specialists that will take part in this event as one of the main speakers. He will participate in the session called “Digitalisation: Creating value in O&M”, that will take place on April 4. The main objective of this session is to talk about digitalisation, an enabler of wind industry’s objectives.

In this session, speakers will look at specific new examples of how digitalisation, including advanced analytics, is being used in operations and maintenance. A range of methods and techniques will be looked at, with a focus on how artificial intelligence and machine learning adds value. César Yanes will introduce in this context ROMEO, as a project that will contribute to offshore O&M cost reduction.

In addition to this presentation, Iberdrola will present ROMEO project in a poster. This poster will summarize main information of the project, in addition to the latest advances carried out, results up to date and also expected results. The poster will be exposed in poster area at the conference venue, and will be available for conference delegates to vie throughout the event.
