Wind Europe has created different maps to find all the projects that are being developed in the continent

Do you want to know how many offshore wind farms are in Europe? If you are looking to a source where you can find this information, then you must discover the interactive overview created by Wind Europe. There are two options available in their website where the offshore wind energy system can be found.

The first one is focused on what is happening in Europe regarding to the offshore wind industry and how many offshore installations are active at this moment. In addition, it shows other wind farms that are under construction or partially online. This map illustrates that the United Kingdom and Germany are the countries with more facilities of this kind.

On the other hand, there is a second interactive map that is focused on the international floating wind projects. In this case, the countries with more presence are France and Norway.

Wind Europe is a relevant actor of the wind industry and promotes actively the use of wind power in Europe and worldwide. With more than 400 members, Wind Europe produces a large variety of information tools such as reports and features and also manages campaigns with the goal of raising awareness about the benefits of wind energy.

The organization is also in charge of several events launched with the aim of boosting the development and investment in wind energy solutions and promoting the exchange of knowledge and scientific perspectives.

ROMEO Project is a European initiative backed by the Horizon 2020 programme with the goal of developing advanced technological solutions to reduce the O&M costs of offshore wind power facilities. In order to achieve this objective, the project is being tested in three different platforms located in the United Kingdom and Germany.
